So a lot has happened since I've posted any updates on this blog.  My photography has gained more recognitions than I could have imagined lately.  First off, journalism:

I'm a photographer on the school newspaper - The Scout - and I attended the Indiana High School Press State Journalism Convention.  I received a first place for the category Photography: Portfolio.  Awesome!
I then also attended the Journalism Education Association National Write-off Competition.  I would have liked to entered my portfolio, as I thought I had a better chance of winning, but was unable to due to a limit... I entered the category Newspaper Sports Photography and received an Honorable Mention. Out of some 6,000 students at the convention, and only 3 from my high school receiving honors, this was quite an achievement for me!

BPA:
As you know from one of my older posts, I'm in BPA - Business Professionals of America.  As I did in 2008-2009, I participated in Desktop Publishing and Web Site Design Team this year again.  In 2008-2009, I took first place at the District level for Desktop Publishing.  This year, I took first place again!  Our Web Site Design Team advanced to State last year, although we did not advance to nationals.  Our web site was praised this year as being "highly advanced" for our age, and we advanced to State.  Hopefully we'll make Nationals!

More photography!
Recently, I was invited to participate in a photography exhibit with the theme of Sanctuaries.  The gallery is at the South Shore Convention and Visitor's Authority - southshorecva.com.  I submitted 12 photos, and of those 12, six were chosen to be a part of the gallery.  The prints are finished and framed and will be dropped off at the SSCVA this week.  Let's hope some people buy my pictures!

As for an older photography update, a few months ago I entered a photo contest with the Porcupine Mountains:

I was a winner of the contest and received a $50 visa gift card in the mail!  Not only this, but they used one of my photos as part of a magazine advertisement and I'll hopefully be uploading all of these documents to the portfolio section soon!

    Nottinghammer

Jeff Nottingham-(Photographer) I'm into "computers," music, and photoshop.  But first of all, photography.  Music is very important to me.  If I'm not mixing on the computer or listening to music, then i'm searching for new stuff.  My main genres are rap and hip/hop, but that's been changing lately.
